Synthetic content and food safety
This site generates recipes, writing, images, and author personas using AI. The author personas are fictional. A resemblance to a public figure does not mean that person wrote, tested, or endorsed the recipe. Images are illustrations. Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsafe.
You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, quantities, cooking temperatures, handling, storage, and other safety instructions against reliable sources before using a recipe. The site does not provide medical, dietary, or professional food-safety advice, and no recipe is guaranteed to be safe or suitable.
Accounts and acceptable use
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site.
Keep your login credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your use of the site and activity you authorize through your account. Signing in does not guarantee membership or access to restricted features.
Do not use the site unlawfully, interfere with its operation, bypass bot checks or access restrictions, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, or submit material that violates others’ rights. We may restrict access, suspend accounts, refuse requests, or hide or remove pages to address abuse, safety, legal obligations, or operation of the service.
Content rights and personal use
As between you and Volatus Technologies LLC, the LLC retains all legally available rights in the site and its content, including its design, writing, images, and selection and arrangement of material. Requesting a recipe does not transfer ownership to you. These terms do not create copyright in material that the law does not protect or override third-party rights.
When you submit material to the site, including the dish and category in a recipe address, ratings, reviews, corrections, suggestions, cooking results, and any text, image, or other material you post or upload, you grant Volatus Technologies LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, analyze, adapt, create derivative works from, publish, display, and distribute that material to operate, improve, promote, develop, and commercialize the site and other products and services, including recipe collections, recommendations, datasets, and tools for evaluating or improving generated content. The license continues if you close your account or we stop offering the feature. You keep your rights in material you created. You are responsible for having the rights to submit it.
We may incorporate your feedback and suggestions into commercial products and services without compensation or an obligation to credit you. Our processing of personal information remains subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You may view, print, and use content for personal, noncommercial purposes, including cooking, and share links to the site. Commercial reuse or republication requires our written permission, except where permitted by law. To request permission, email support@apocryphal.kitchen.
Availability and changes
We may change, interrupt, or discontinue features or the service, restrict account access, or remove pages and links. We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date and providing any notice required by law. Your continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or safety. Your use of the site and reliance on its content are at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volatus Technologies LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for losses, injuries, or damages arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or its content, including cooking or consuming a generated recipe. This limitation applies to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, and punitive damages, including lost profits or data, under contract, tort, or another legal theory.
These terms do not exclude liability or waive rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived, including liability for intentional or reckless misconduct. If applicable law limits a disclaimer or exclusion, it applies only to the extent that law permits.
Wisconsin law and courts
Wisconsin law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction required by applicable law, disputes concerning these terms or the site will be brought in state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you and Volatus Technologies LLC consent to their jurisdiction.
